We had a wonderful time with our great friends at Popesmead yesterday for the annual CrowPope Christmas Trophy, the 5th time we've done this.
And we're getting ever closer to possibly briging the trophy back to Crowborough for the first time. 2023 saw us play 5 triples (with a couple of pairs thrown in) and we narrowly lost 68-77 ..... but won one rink and drew on two - a marvellous achievement.
The weather was kind (very mild) and withe mulled wine, mince pies and sausage rolls also shared amongst friends, a splendid time was had by all.
Sharing the trophy with Alan, Glenn commented "we love coming here and everything about the day - it's fabulous to be with you all outside, sharing bowls together whilst laughing, joking and wearing the Christmas gear - see you in 2024!"
